GPU Use Cases
A10G use cases
The A10G is an Ampere data-center GPU designed for inference serving. At just 150W TDP, it is one of the most power-efficient data-center GPUs available. Its 24 GB of GDDR6 memory and 125 TFLOPS of FP16 throughput make it the primary GPU in AWS g5 instances.
LLM inference up to 13B
The A10G is the most cost-effective data-center GPU for inference serving of models up to 13B parameters on AWS. Its 24 GB GDDR6 fits 13B models at FP16 or larger models with INT8 quantization. ECC memory and data-center reliability make it preferable to consumer GPUs for production deployments. It is the primary GPU in AWS g5 instances.
Image generation
The A10G's 31.2 TFLOPS FP32 throughput makes it well-suited for Stable Diffusion and image generation workloads. Its data-center reliability and ECC memory make it a practical choice for production image generation pipelines where consumer GPUs are not appropriate.
High-density inference
At 150W TDP, the A10G enables extremely dense rack deployments without specialized cooling. For high-volume inference serving where power efficiency and rack density matter, the A10G delivers strong cost-per-inference at scale. It is widely available on AWS and other cloud providers.
Fine-tuning smaller models
The A10G is a practical choice for LoRA fine-tuning of models up to 13B parameters. Its ECC memory and data-center reliability make it suitable for production fine-tuning pipelines. For larger models, INT8 quantization extends the effective capacity to approximately 24B parameters.
